ReplyDeletethis was very good, it shows a lot of informations in this blog. #okay
DeleteI think the reason that Tim didn't tell anyone about his story is he was embarrassed. He didn't want anyone to know that he thought about leaving to go to Canada so he wouldn't have to fight. He doesn't like war and he was scared. I understand where he is coming from because war is scary. Even when I hear about it, it gives me chills. I am very grateful that we have brave people to fight for our freedom.
ReplyDeleteVery insightful and informative. :)

DeleteThree reasons why Tim does not want to go to war is one, he is not prepared for it he is not prepared for the pressure of war. Another reason why he doesn't wanna go to war is because he is scared he doesn't know how war is going to be and he is not ready to risk his life. The final reason he doesn't want to go to war is because he will miss his family and loves them so he doesn't want to leave them behind.
ReplyDeleteThat is very sweet and very thoughtful
DeleteI think that the reason that Tim never told anyone was he was embarrassed to tell people.one example was when he started to cry on the boat. he tried to run from his problems back home. Then later he realized that he wouldn't be able to run from them.
ReplyDeleteThose are good examples. Where is all the grammar we just learned though.
DeleteHe hasn't told anybody about this story because he is ashamed of it. He says that he hasn't told anybody about this story in the book. He was with Elroy on a boat in Canada where he could get away forever and he sat there.
ReplyDeleteHe just started crying, he was embarrassed by his tears, which he said could be why he never told this story
Very nicely pieced together.
Delete1. Tim O'Brien might not have told the story to someone, because he was too embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteHe does not see himself as a hero, a brave man that decided to take the risk and went to the war, but as a coward person that does not want to disappoint his family and friends.
As a consequence he feels guilty. He is ashamed of his behavior.
2. Tim O'Brien does not want to go to the war, because of several reasons.
The most important reason is that he does not want to die.
Another reason for him not wanting to go to the war was his level of education.
Furthermore he did not want to fight in the Vietnam War in particular, because he did not understand what it was for.
Very nice job! you laid out the information and described it very well. :)
DeleteGood job you laid out a lot of good information.
DeleteTim has never told anybody about "on the rainy river" because it was embarrassing to him. Another reason why is because he was ashamed. The reason why Tim doesn't want to go to war is because he was fresh out of college, he didn't want to be no soldier and he was worried what is family would think about this. Plus he didn't want to die in a war.
ReplyDelete2. He gets a draft notice to go to the war and he didn't want to go. Reasons why Tim does not want to go to war is that he didn't want to died, and he don't want the pressure of the war. So he considers deserting the US and then ran away to Canada. Another is he didn't want to leave because he would leave his family and friends behind.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't want to go into the war because he is squeamish around blood. He doesn't want to kill another human being, so he goes to Canada to get away from the draft. Tim tries to hide in Canada, but he feels ashamed about wimping out of the draft.
ReplyDeleteI think that Tim has never told anyone about this because he doesn't want to be embarrassed.three reasons i think Tim doesn't want to go to war is because he doesn't want to take another human beings life, he is scared that he will die, and he dosen't want to be traumatized by the stuff in the war.TIm works in a factory killing pigs he gets drafted into the war travels to the edge of Canada meets Elroy changes his mind and goes home and that is how i would summarize the chapter.
