What might happen if a soldier had his girlfriend flown in to Vietnam during the war?
Write a story considering these questions: Could a soldier get his girlfriend flown in to Vietnam? How would she get there? What might happen? (Create a Word document and write a minimum of 200 words; proofread for grammar and mechanics before copying and pasting to the blog!)

There was a woman in America her name was Becca Wahlberg. She is my girlfriend and I’m in Vietnam. She really wants to see me but I am fighting in the war. So eventually we figure out a way to get her to Vietnam. I pay a very good friend of mine to get her here. He takes off at dawn in America and on their way over the plane gets shot at by the Vietnamese. My platoon and me go to help. We have a total of 20 in my platoon. We are too late so the Vietnamese take her and I have to get her back. At 0700 hours we move out to their base camp. I make a distraction by throwing a grenade and I blow off the door to their base. My platoon kills all the others and I make my way into the base and kill their commander. After I get Becca back I decide to leave the war to be with her and never think about that night again. Later that year I get a letter from my friend that brought Becca to Vietnam saying they need me back cause my platoon is in trouble. So I come back and I rescue my platoon.
ReplyDelete“I promise you she will get here soon!” said my friend Bill I have been waiting for her for hours oh by the way I am a soldier in Vietnam and my name is George Jameson my girlfriend is coming to Vietnam to meet me and I cant wait! She is being flown in on the helicopter she’s only coming for a couple hours but I will savor every minute of it. Her name is Isabella Sophia such a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl she lives 2 hours away from where I am stationed so I have an easy way of seeing her we have been together for a year and two months today! “Hey bud you might want to come out here someone is here to see you” Bill told me she’s here! I said excitedly I ran outside and picked her up and gave her a big hug it felt like we just stood there hugging for hours she was so glad I was ok she doesn’t like me being in the war she’s too protective. We talked for a while about my experiences so far in Vietnam she loved hearing about it she told me about how it was so lonely without me at home. She is just amazing I loved having her here with me I just hate that she has to leave I gave her one last kiss and told her goodbye as she got on the helicopter she handed me a little box then took off I was puzzled I didn’t know what was inside the box so I opened it and inside I found three things one was letter that I decided to read later, another thing that was inside the box was her favorite lip gloss I don’t know why she gave me that because she wears it everyday but I will keep it here with me and cherish it. The final thing I found in the little box was a little bottle with what looked like water inside but it was labeled “tears” so I knew exactly what it was I wanted to hold her again I didn’t know she had been crying over me I cant wait to be home and be with her forever.

DeleteShe has been talking about it for weeks now. My best friend Kayla was so excited to see her boyfriend Brian, in Vietnam. She said that he is flying her over. I thought that she was crazy. I would like to be as far away from the war as possible. But she is going to it. I couldn’t help but think of my friend’s safety! I took her to the airport and I told her to take care of herself and to write me as soon as she gets a chance. Weeks passed and I finally got a letter from her. In her letter she wrote, Dear friend it has been a crazy time over here. An me and Brian has spent every night together. He says that he has to keep me a secret so I won’t be sent back. So I am dressed up as a nurse. Everything is going great so far. I’m just worried what if something really happens, what am I going to do. What will I say? I will be home in a few days until then please don’t worry. I will right you a letter every other day. This eased my mind a little. But I still thought about her. As a friend I’m supposed to support her. But I can’t help but to worry. When she got home, she told me everything. About all the sights, weather, and what she and Brian did to pass time.

DeleteOnce a pun a time there was a man named jerry Thompson he was 27 years old and he was in the military he has been in Iraq now for many years now 9 to be exact and has seen no action no fights nothing just training day after day which he felt was a waste of time because out of the 9 years he has been in that horrible place and not seen a enemy one he wasn’t quite like the other soldiers for one he was very short he was 5,4 but he was stocky as hell he lifted weights before the army his max when he benched was 400 pounds! He looked much like an ape as big as his arms were.
ReplyDeleteJerry had a girlfriend her name was palmer there wasn’t a day that goes by that he didn’t think about her and he was so anxious to see her he went crazy and walked into one of the small villages in Iraq and borrowed a mans phone to call palmer he told her to come and see him that he already sent the money in the mail so of course she did she arrived a week later and he ran to her and gave her the longest kiss in the world they both were as happy as a child on Christmas that night she stayed in his tent and you can guess what they did in there. Palmer was a beautiful woman tall skinny tan and nice breast jerry always said it might have been a mistake bringing her because jerry noticed all the men were staring whistling at her calling her names and that made him mad the next day jerry had to go get some water at the tank and when he came back palmer was crying he asked what was wrong and she said a man raped her she described him and jerry quickly knew who it was, his best friend bill so jerry walked over to his tent and threw a grenade in it every one knew who it was that killed bill but didn’t tell the next day palmer told jerry she was having a baby and they were both exited they decided to name him bill. The end!!!
If you were a solider and you wanted your girlfriend to come see you the commander would probably have to ok it and if they could then it would take along time for them to get there and it would be dangerous. The only way they or her could get over there would be airplane or helicopter because I don’t think that they could use a boat to get over there so either way they would have to fly. So finely they get to Vietnam and you get to see them there could be a lot of things that happen you could get ambushed or you could have a good time if you know what I mean. As long as you didn’t get ambushed it would probably be a good time. You could show her how to shot a gun or you could tell her about stuff that you did and things that happened. You could tell them if you almost got shot or you may have been shot and tell her. You could tell her who been killed and you could tell her if you killed someone. Then at the end of the day you know what going to happen. Then how long she decides or is aloud to stay she might have to go on a mission with the rest of the group. Then that would be dangerous she could get shot or hurt so id wouldn’t want her to come over because I wouldn’t want her to get hurt so yea I would just wat to see her that’s just my story THE END.
ReplyDeleteThere was a soldier named Shane and he wants his girlfriend Lisa to come down to Vietnam with him so he can see her, he gets her there by airplane, and when Lisa gets there he talks for a really long time about how Vietnam was going and how much that he missed her, Shane told Lisa that Vietnam was a living hell that he says that he wishes that he could leave the Vietnam war and come home to spend all of his time with Lisa. Shane keeps going on about how he wants to leave Vietnam, Lisa tells Shane not to be scared and don’t worry about him that she will be fine and when the war is over they can be back together again. Shane tells Lisa that he does not want to die that he wants to be together with her forever and he don’t want Vietnam to get in the way of them being together. After Shane was done talking to Lisa she hears gun shots coming closer and closer to her and Shane, she starts to freak out and Shane tells Lisa to go and get back up, so Lisa did and when she went to go get some of the soldiers, she heard a gun shot where she and Shane was talking at she heard somebody yell her name and they kept on saying her name, she got closer to the voice and when she got to were she heard the voice and she looked around and then she seen Shane up against the rock holding his stomach, he was holding something pressed against it, Lisa ran over to Shane and hugged him saying your going to be ok, who did this to you, Shane tried to say something but if he tried to talked it hurt him, but then he said I don’t know it was blurry didn’t get a good look at the face, Lisa saw somebody behind a tree and she told Shane she will be right back. Shane tried to stop but he couldn’t move ever time he tried it hurt him, Lisa pick up Shane gun and pointed at the tree were the man was at and she tried to shoot it but Shane smacked it out of her hand and he shot the man, Lisa said why did you do that and Shane said because you don’t need to be in the Vietnam its hell you need to go home while you still can and Lisa said I don’t want to leave without you. Shane said I want to go but I don’t think I am going to make it and Lisa said yes you will, Shane said just leave me please I will see you again one day, Lisa hugged him and kissed him goodbye. She gets up and walks away looking back at Shane. Shane died after she looked back at him one last time. Lisa got on the plane wishing Shane were with her.

There was once a young soldier, his name was Craig, and he missed his life back in the states. He missed his mom, dad, sisters, brothers, but most of all he missed his girlfriend, Susan. He wanted to go back at any cost, he always said to himself, he would swim through shark-infested water to get to her. One day he got a letter from her saying she was going to run away from home and try to get to Vietnam to be with him. She said that her father thought he was going to die so he was going to let somebody else marry her. Craig thought about this and told her to stay there until he thought of something to do. After a month he figured out his problem. He had friends in the transportation units so he made a deal with them to sneak her in with the new nurses that were coming in. He sent her a letter telling her where to be at what time and what names to say. After about a month of worrying she finally arrived with the nurses. When he found out she was there he shot himself in the foot to be able to go to the medical area. But when he got there he found out she had left to go and find him herself. After a hurried foot wrap he grabbed his gear and ran to where they said she left through. He searched the trail for days. Every village or hut he went by, he asked the people living there if they saw her. All they said to him was she had gone onward. After a week of searching he was ready to give up on ever finding her when he saw smoke coming out of the trees about a mile away. He started running just hoping he would find her there. About 10 yards away he heard sounds coming from the fire that he recognized as Vietnamese soldiers he crept slowly toward the clearing where they were. He looked through the tree line to see what he was feeling deep inside what he was going to see, about 20 Vietnamese soldiers around 5 small fires cooking what looked to be some kind of meat. He looked around the clearing hoping that Susan wasn’t there, when he didn’t see her, his heart started lifting. Then one man moved and he saw her tied to a pole in the ground. He saw her face was bruised like she had been beaten a lot. He knew then that this was his entire fault. He should have left her to be married to somebody else. He knew he shouldn’t have brought her here. He decided right then and there he was going to save her. He loaded his gun, stood up, he threw two grenades one at each end of the area. He waited until they went off. All the soldiers grabbed there guns and looked around to see where the grenades came from. Then Craig yelled and ran through the tree line shooting at the soldiers. He had it shot six of them before they started shooting back. Craig to cover behind a tent, he reloaded and started shooting at them again after about five minutes of back and forth fighting like this, he had killed about 17 and was down to his pistol. He peeked around the corner and noticed the last three had run off. He stepped out and turned to Susan. He dropped to his knees. Susan had a bullet in her head from all the fighting. He went up to her and started crying on her shoulder. After what seemed like hours he pulled out his pistol put it to his head and pulled the trigger.
ReplyDeleteA soldier could get his girlfriend by telling her a her a lie and tell her its nice and pretty and no one gets hurt and she wont see any thing scary or bad or anyone die. If she ask how she will get there he could tell her she could fly in a plane and take a train to get to him. Or she could take a rocket ship to get to him and there is always walking. when she got there they could take long walks on the beach and get shot at or they could fight In the war against some Vietnamese or when she get there they con could go out for a nice dinner and a movie or when she get there they both get killed from getting shot in the head or from getting blown up by a grenade.
ReplyDeleteThere was a man named Bob, his age was 21. He was fighting in the Vietnam War. His wife name was Bonnie, her age was 19. Clyde wanted to get his wife flown over to the battleground so he could spend time with her. He was thirsty for her! Bob decide to go to one of the air Marshalls and bribe them with money. He gave the man three hundred dollars so he could go get his wife in North Carolina. The man agreed.
ReplyDeleteThree days had passed and the air Marshall told Bob to meet him at the plane station. When he got to plane station he saw his wife Bonnie standing there with her bags. He ran to her and gave her a big hug and kiss. He was so happy to see her. That day they went back to his tent and hung out.
The next day Bonnie and Bob were taking a walk in the woods and catching up on things. Bonnie was telling him about the kids, her job, and other things. As they were walking they stopped and kissed. While they were kissing Bonnie stepped back on a mine and blew up into a million pieces. There was blood and guts all over Bob and his mouth. Bob was devastated and sad. He decide to commit suicide.
It was a late summer night and Tim was still awake. He was sitting there all alone thinking if he would ever get to see his beautiful girlfriend Ashley again, then all of a sudden he got an idea. His idea was to get his girlfriend to come to Vietnam without anyone finding out. That same night some how he got a hold of his best friend Peter who was a pilot and told him his plan. Tim told peter he wanted to see his girlfriend because he missed her and he didn’t know if he was going to make it back home alive. Peter told Tim that he would do it, but it would be very risky. 2 days later Peter goes to Ashley’s house and tells her what Tim had said. As soon as Peter finished telling Ashley everything she quickly ran in her house grabbed everything that she needed and threw it in Peter’s truck and was ready to go. The next day Peter called Tim and told him that Ashley was with him and they were ready to head that way. Peter passed the phone to Ashley who was telling Tim that she couldn’t wait to see him. Later that day Ashley and Peter got on the airplane and were off. Later that night about 9:00 the Airplane started to have some problems, but peter ignored it. They were almost at Vietnam about half way there when all of a sudden Peter lost control of the airplane and crashed against some trees. 2 days later some soldiers found the airplane and 2 people dead. The Soldiers told Tim what they had found. Tim started crying… He knew that the 2 people that were found dead was his Best friend Peter and his Girlfriend Ashley. He never got to see her.

Tim a 21 years old in the Vietnam War. He love this girlfriend Nancy a 19 year old living in the Untied States of America and Tim was wounding about have to get Nancy to the Vietnam war with him so he could see her for the first time in forever, without anyone from knowing about his plan to get her here. So he told Bill (Tim’s friend) about his plan to fly his girlfriend over here and Bill was so supported the idea. Then Bill stated to wonder how to get her here without anyone knowing, so they came up with some ideas how one was to talk to the pilot and told him his plan and could go on without seeing her anytime. The second one was to tell her to say she’s a soldier and she going to participate in the war. Bill and Tim decided to talk to the pilot and go and get her, then come straight back as fast as you can. As the pilot left he started to think what would happen if she came or if anyone would find out.

ReplyDeleteIt was kind of the journey of my life, I had never left the United States before.
It had taken a long time, until all the preparations were done. A lot of paperwork, a lot of money.
But finally I stood at the airport, with my suitcase, little make up box and my handbag.
My brother had laughed at me, because I was carrying a make up box to Vietnam, where no one would care. But I did not mind, when I experienced all that war stuff, I wanted to look acceptable at least.
It had taken my boyfriend a long time to convince me to come, but in the end I missed him so much that I decided to take the risk.
Later I did not understand myself, why I had wanted to do it.
I was a celebrity among the soldiers, since I was the only woman, everyone knew who I was. Seeing all the soldiers, all the weapons, all the serious faces made me realize where I was. I am a woman, it is okay when I say I was afraid.
The first day with my boyfriend’s platoon came sooner than I wanted it to be, but there was no way back.
Just as the soldiers I had to carry a backpack. Mine was not as heavy as theirs, not as crowded with weapons, grenades and similar, but although heavy and frightening enough for me.
The worst thing were the nights. I could not sleep, could not stay awake, because of the long marching during the day.
Then there were all the wild animals, spiders, snakes, unknown insects…
One night, one of those nights I spend lying in the dark and listening to the sounds of the jungle, I heard an unusual sound. It did not sound like something I had ever heard before, I do not have to tell you I was scared.
The sound came closer and closer, I tried to figure out what it was but I could not.
The next thing I remember was waking up in a dark place, on a hard ground, a tall person with the kinds of tattoos and jewelry made of wood and put through your skin you know from the movies with cannibals that had a weapon in his hands I had never seen before.

ReplyDeleteCould a soldier bring his girlfriend to Vietnam How could she get there? What might happen? Were will she sleep or hang out on patrols? I will tell you A soldier can bring his girlfriend to Vietnam because at the same time news reporters where allowed to come after a major battle or firefight with large casualties. Like in “we were soldiers” as soon as the last battle scene ends two choppers come in full of news reporters and photographers. So I think that civilians were allowed to go but it would cost a lot of money. Usually they would get there the same as we go on vacation. Sometimes they are flown in and sent to their boyfriend by chopper. Other times a ship sends them. But usually chopper sends them to them. Most of the time they’re with their boyfriends staying with them in the same place like on patrols and everything. Some of them even stay in the villages while their gone or in a military base. Sometimes they could decide to do something stupid or crazy. Like for example she could get shoot. Or like she could want to go down to a village but did not know it was under control of the VC.

There was a man and a woman. The guy was named Leon and the girl was named Daziy. Leon is 23 and Daziy is just now tuned 21.leon is in Vietnam War. Leon is sending some money to Daziy. So she can go buy a plane ticket because she is coming to where he is stationary. She’s coming down in two days. Leon is the happiest man on earth.
ReplyDeleteTwo days later…he picked her up at the airport. They were so happy to see each other. Well they got a cad and was on the way back to where he was stationary. The had a pretty good ways to go till they got there, so they just caught up of new things and how college was doing her, and how the war was doing him. She had also menaced that she had got a new job as a vet because Daziy love animals.
Well they had finely had made it to where he was stationary at. It was very pretty she said and Leon had looked in to her eyes and said just like you and kissed her. Then she told him she loved him and so did he. Later that day they had laid down that night and talked for hours and hours about life and life its self they was just enjoying the time they was having together.
The next morning Dazily had woken up next to a tray of food for her from Leon with a little card. She grabbed it and it had said…“will you marry me Daziy Faye?” and she looked up and there he was with a ring and she jumped up and kissed him and said “yes.” After that they got married and live happy ever after.
